-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Central Station Voice Tapes and Procedures Bulletin 1002 6/22/01 Copyright (C) 2000, Coastal Security Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- All of the telephone sets in the central station are recorded on a multi channel Dictaphone Pro Log voice recorder. Conversations are captured on hard disk an archived to DAT tapes. Tapes are recycled every sixty to ninety days. Except for rare down times or tape failures conversations are always available for sixty days and may be available up to ninety days. Central station supervisors will find and play recorded conversations to dealers in order to resolve any questions regarding operator actions or general efficiency and courtesy. If the telephone call was placed by a central station operator or resulted in an alarm log entry or telephone message being taken by the operator we can determine the time of the call and the identity of the operator from the alarm log or telephone message log. Otherwise it is usually necessary for you to furnish the date and time of the call and, if possible, the operator number. When the central station supervisor retrieves a conversation in connection with a claim or complaint it can be played to the dealer on the telephone at the supervisor's discretion. Copies of tapes will not be made. If a dealer thinks that a tape may be needed as evidence in any official proceedings the dealer may request in writing that we hold a particular tape in safe keeping so that it will not be recycled after sixty days. When a dealer requests that a tape be held in safe keeping the supervisor receiving the request will remove the tape from rotation and send the request and the tape to the administrative offices to be filed in the fire proof safe. Any tape that has been held in safekeeping for more than two years from the date of the request may be removed from safekeeping and placed back into rotation.
