All rights reserved. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The SIA (Security Industry Association) format for alarm signaling provides a standard set of event codes which consist of two letters from "AA" to "ZZ". Not all combinations are presently defined. The central station converts these event codes to numbers where AA is 1, AB is 2, AC is 3, and so on. The central station has default procedures in place for all of the events listed below. Unless you require a different procedure you need not send the central station any instructions or information. The SIA protocol is not available on all receiver line cards. Check with the central station supervisor and review the appropriate bulletins on this system before using SIA. If the account contains "NFPA" in the permanent instructions field then FIR, TAM, SUP, and TBL signals are handled as follows and not according to the tables below: FIR send fire agency, send 1 hour
