-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscriber Record Updates Bulletin 5030 03/20/04 Copyright (C) 1992, Coastal Security Systems, Inc. All rights reserved. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- All subscriber record data is available in real time via remote internet access. Some dealers may receive subscriber record updates via email, fax or web access. The typical dealer has adopted the following procedure: 1. Dealer faxes new account information or file update instructions to the central station and places the faxed instruction in a "pending" bin. 2. Central station data entry personnel enter the update in the central station computer. 3. The next day the dealer verifies the updated records against the original instructions in the "pending" bin. Any errors or omissions are reported to the central station by phone. Some dealers may wish to keep the most recent copy of account data in a three ring notebook in account number order. The notebook will always contain an exact copy of the information which is on file in the central station. Dealers who receive computer down loads will always have an exact copy of central station information in their own computer and will be able to print copies, lists and reports at any time. Dealers using internet access always have access to current subscriber record information via internet. When subscriber record updates are prepared, a separate report of deleted accounts is also prepared. This report contains a listing of all accounts that were deleted from the central station computer. It also contains a list of all account number and dealer number changes. For example, if you advise the central station to change the account number for existing account number 123 to 456, the central station will send an updated record under account 456. The deleted account report will show that account number 123 was changed to 456.
