--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Permit Ordinances Bulletin 3060 6/21/00 Copyright (C) 2000, Coastal Security Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The central station software provides some features to assure compliance with alarm permit ordinances. The dispatch agency database contains the following fields: User permit required (Y/N)? _ No dispatch without permit (Y/N)? _ Callout must respond on second dispatch within 24 hours (Y/N)? _ When the "User permit is required" field contains "Y" for yes each subscriber record is checked for a permit number. If the subscriber record contains no permit number the account is included in the subscriber trouble report. The account is also included if an expiration date has been given and the permit is currently expired. If the "No dispatch without permit" field contains "Y" for yes a stronger warning appears in the subscriber trouble report and the central station operator will be instructed not to dispatch. Other notifications, such as verify calls and callout lists will be made as usual. If the "Callout must respond" field contains "Y" for yes and the agency being dispatched is the designated police agency for the account then the software will cancel the dispatch step and insert "CALLOUT MUST GO" in the remarks field when a previous dispatch occurred within twenty four hours. The central station operator will reactivate the step and dispatch the police only if a callout agrees to respond to the alarm. When the central station operator sees "CALLOUT MUST GO" in the dispatch remarks field, he or she will say the following to the callout: "We received an alarm from ____ premises. A previous alarm was dispatched within the past twenty four hours. The police/sheriff will not respond unless a responsible party will meet them at the premises. Do you wish to respond?" If the callout declines to respond the operator will not dispatch the police or sheriff. The operator is not required to make the same request of other persons on the callout list.
